Sunday Stills #15 - Summer

 

To me, the patchwork of colour that is the prairies says summer more than anything.   This field of sunflowers is on my drive to and from work and this time of year, the sun hits them perfectly and they face me regardless which way I'm driving.  

"Nothing else to worry about when My Sunshine and her flowers are here" (paraphrasing something I read once).

I know I'm a day late on this one and frankly I wasn't sure I'd have one for this week, but I didn't want to miss a week so I went back into the camera roll to find this one.   It's not the best picture of my dog Finn, but his eyes tell the story here.   I don't remember what was in the bowl, but he wanted some. Talk about focus.

Sunday Stills #2

  When I was aiming my phone at random things for week number one, I was at one of my favourite hardware type stores when I saw these mini cement mixers.   I don't need one, but I thought they were cool and I loved the colour of them.   I wasn't sure they were right for the first week's challenge, but when I saw that week #2 was "favourite colour",  I was pretty sure I'd use it.   And while I don't usually take something in portrait, I like the way they were lined up.   Taken on an LG G7 ThinQ.
