I spend a lot of my week driving and this time of year, it starts to move into darkness during my trips.  Right now, I get to revel in the light given to me by the sunrises and sunsets, but I also get a little melancholy knowing that I'll be in full darkness soon - coming and going from work.  I also wanted to (safely) capture a sunset in my rear view as my light is behind me to the west.

Shadows are long and the oats are ripe! 

This is Finnegan.   He's a character... and he has character.    He is a quiet, patient (evident in the picture), happy, very sweet little boy prone to bouts of crazy, zoomy, blitzy moments of energy.  He's older and he has some health problems, so those blasts of crazy joy don't come around much anymore.   He sleeps a lot now, but he'll perk up for play time, or a walk, or to ask politely for a sample of whatever it is you're eating.    Oh... The hat is his.   When he was a little pup, I couldn't play on the floor with him if I was wearing a hat.   It was guaranteed to be popped off my head with surgical precision and paraded around the house like a wolf with his trophy prey.   Over the years, it ended up in his toy box.   

Lots of country roads in this province equals lots of fences.   This one might have been put up to keep the fish in.
